World Book Day South Africa Launch
SARF, Brand South Africa, NYDA and Wits University partner to encourage youth to read books
Johannesburg – April 16, 2014 – The South African Reading Foundation (SARF) in partnership with Brand SA, the NYDA and Wits University will launch their World Book Day South Africa celebration on Wednesday April 23, 2014. The theme for World Book Day South Africa this year is “Let’s get the nation reading”
At the World Book Day celebration, authors, thought leaders and celebrities will converge to speak about the impact which reading books have had on their lives and respective careers.
Guest speakers will include: Deputy Director General of the Department of Arts and Culture Mr. Vusi Ndima, Brand SA Director: Strategic Marketing & Comms, Wendy Tlou, Chairperson of the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) and Chairman of the South African Reading Foundation Tebogo Ditshego. Actress Nomzamo Mbatha and Author Ntsikelelo Msibomvu. The co-hosts of the event will be Media Personality Pearl Modiadie and Tyathumzi Leader Advisor Luvuyo Mandela.
